A short
supply chain

Pepthena exists because the gap between what a research peptide certificate says and what is actually in the vial had become the normal condition of this market.

Why we started

The certificate
problem

Buy research peptides on the open market and you will notice something quickly: the certificates all look the same. Same layout, same peak, sometimes the same analyst signature on material from three different continents. Somewhere between the synthesis facility and the vial in the box, the paperwork stopped describing the product.

It is not usually fraud. It is distance. Every intermediary in a supply chain is a point where a batch gets repackaged, re-labelled, blended with older stock, or paired with the nearest available certificate. Nobody sets out to mislead. The information simply cannot survive that many transfers.

So we built the shortest chain we could. Synthesis, purification, analysis, lyophilisation, filling and release happen in the same building in Denmark. The lot number on your vial resolves to one run, one column and one chromatogram — and to a person who can tell you about it.

We are not the cheapest supplier in Europe, and we are not trying to be. We are trying to be the one whose numbers you can check.

How we work

Four commitments

Deliberately narrow. Each one is something a customer can verify rather than something we can assert.

We synthesise to order

Nothing sits in a warehouse for two years waiting for demand. Lead times are longer than a distributor's because we are making it, not picking it — and the material you receive is dated from a run we can point to.

We publish the failures

Lots that miss specification are destroyed and logged. Ask us how many failed last quarter and we will tell you the number. A supplier who has never failed a lot is a supplier who has never really tested one.

We do not discuss human use

Our material is sold for laboratory research. Our staff will not advise on human protocols, and we would rather lose a sale than pretend that boundary is negotiable. The dosing data on this site is reference literature, nothing more.

We keep the catalogue small

Twenty-three products, not six hundred. Every entry is one we can synthesise well and assay properly. Breadth is easy to buy from a broker; it is very hard to stand behind.

Shipping

Cold chain,
from here to you

Orders placed before 14:00 CET on a working day are dispatched the same day. Everything ships insulated with phase-change packs sized to the transit time — not a gel pack thrown in as a gesture.

Within the EU that means one to three working days with full tracking. Outside the EU we ship on request and will tell you honestly if the transit time makes the cold chain unreliable for that destination.

Lyophilised peptide tolerates brief excursions above freezing far better than most people assume — the powder is genuinely robust. The packaging exists so that a delayed shipment is still a usable shipment.

Same-day dispatch before 14:00 CET Insulated, phase-change cooled EU 1–3 working days

Come and look

Institutional customers are welcome to audit the facility. We will show you the synthesis suite, the analytical lab and the batch records — including the ones for lots that failed.
